About

Just for the record, this whole "Randie is into fitness" thing is not new. I have been working out pretty consistently since I was about 16. And cooking since I was a kid. But like life often does, it derailed me and I had to get myself back together.

I left Oregon in September of 2012. I started eating crazily the last month we lived there because our house was packed and we were trying not to bring anything new into the house. SO we ate lots of takeout. Lots. Then a two-week road trip, leaving friends that were family and the place I called home for 15 years which is basically all of my adult life. What followed was another cross country move, a divorce, and a mirror that showed me just how little in the way of coping skills I had.

By the time I turned 40, 17 months later, I had gained 48 pounds. 48. I weighed more than I did when I was pregnant. I was pretending it was no big deal until I saw the picture of me from the surprise party Mr. J threw me for my 40th birthday, in NYC with my family and life-long friends. I was all set to have a party in Albany on my real birthday. Instead I sent a group text cancelling the party because in truth, I was ashamed. I was embarrassed by who I had become. Someone who didn't take care of herself, who drank too much, who stopped cooking and ate anything and everything in order to cope with the chaos.

The following week I was getting my eyebrows waxed and I met someone that would change the trajectory of my life. We talked about oatmeal and healthy foods and within days I reached out to learn more from her. She introduced me to the 21 Day fix, and the rest is, as they say, herstory.

I don't talk about the fix or Shakeology to sell you on it. If you aren't interested, that's totally fine. Have something else that is working for you? Awesome! I am so happy for you. All I can tell you is that it works for me and if you want my help to see if it will work for you, I am here. All ears.

I am a busy mom of two tween girls, two poorly behaved dogs and a wife to the hottest man on the planet (yay for second chances!). But most of all I am a woman. I am striving every day to live my best life and help others do the same.

xx, Randie
